Pray for the people and ministries affected by the southern California fires
As fires rage through San Diego county, thousands of people are being evacuated and displaced from their homes. A number of Gospelcom ministries are in the area too, with staff who could also use prayer support. Here are some of the ministries in the San Diego area.
- InterVarsity’s ministry has been curtailed by the fires, as detailed in a news release on their website.
- Several staff members at Navigators have been forced to evacuate their homes, as reported on the Navigators website.
- Youth Specialties, a ministry dedicated to supporting people doing youth ministry. They have hundreds of articles about youth ministry on their website, and organize many different youth ministry events throughout the year.
- Into Thy Word, which helps people delve deeper into the Bible through by teaching them how to read and study it effectively.
- The Center for Student Missions, which organizes urban mission projects for young people all over the U.S.
- ACTS International, which has published dozens of popular devotionals and articles helping people deal with personal and spiritual challenges in their lives.
- Mike Atkinson of Mikey’s Funnies and ThinkChristian lives in the San Diego area and can use your prayers as well.
- Eternity Minded Ministries, an evangelism and renewal organization, has staff that has been affected by the fires.
- Instituto Interglobal trains church leaders online in the Spanish world, and is headquarted just a few miles from the fires. Pray that the fires don’t reach their neck of the woods!
- The Christian Camp and Conference Association has several camps in the affected area. They’ve set up a special CCCA Google Group so that member camps and conferences can coordinate efforts and share prayer needs.
- Al Menconi Ministries, which helps parents and families discern what’s healthy and what isn’t in their media choices, is based in the threatened area.
