One idea of Jesus, put forward by Deepak Chopra in his book The Third Jesus, depicts Jesus as a model of perfect spirituality that we can all achieve if we can just connect to the divinity within us. What are we to make of this version of Jesus—and how does it mesh with what the Gospels tell us?
