you cannot split Gods love into demographics. God wont see "Asian guy, black guy, etc" He sees "Believer, non believer" those are the only 2 demographics.

I don't think the aim should be to target on a particular demographic group but I do feel the the Lord has anointed some churches to especially be effective with some target groups such as the youth or even middle aged adults. With much prayer God will build His church and give higher anointings for particular pastors to be more effective in particular demographic groupings. Often I have seen members of particular churches reflect the mindset and attitude of the leaders.

Absolutely! Aim at nothing and you will hit it everytime. Unless your church has a parish requirement, people are free to choose from a variety of group and whether you want to accept it or not, we all have biasis. That is not bad as long as it is not exclusive or predudicial then do it. Be open to all, love all, but know what you are doing and in all things pray about. Is evangelism any different? E1, E2, E3 deals with barriers and openness to the gospel. We saw that our community was underserving immigrant Indians (from Inida). So guess what, we have made specific, intential choices to resource and TARGET the Indian community in our neighborhood. Just because you relate the concept to business or marketing, doesn't mean it is without truth. Look at the Bible . . . we have 4 Gospels that each were developed and targeted at different communities of people.

I don't think a church should be demographic but we are talking about human beings that will favor one thing over another, I don't think good pastors frown on certain subjects but are less likely to bring them up. For example my pastor will go on for hours about the different kinds of prayer and how important prayer groups are but almost never bring up prophecy in the church today.
