House divided - a Christian perspective
It's a famous quotation of Jesus' that Abraham Lincoln appropriated during the Civil War: A house divided against itself cannot stand. Jesus said this in reference to the claim that he drove out demons in the name of Beelzebub. How could a group--or house--of people be so divided against itself and still function? How could one by the power of Beelzebub cast out Beelzebub's servants?
