A friend of mine is a member of The Latter Day Saints (Mormon) and when she talks about salvation and grace she sounds “just like me” However, I know through Bible Study that through the Book of Mormon they have violated the verse in The Bible that refers to “adding” and so forth. What is the best way to encourage them to look at the differences between Mormonism and Christianity (evangelical) I have always believed that you cannot point someone toward Christ by suggesting that their Church is wrong.
    Thank you,

I have a friend who is a member of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon). When it comes to salvation through grace-one-on-one with Jesus, trusting in and accepting what he did on the cross, etc., she sounds like she believes just as I do. However, I know from an evangelical view, that Mormons are not considered Christians (The Body of Christ). I know through Bible Study that there is scripture that admonishes anyone who would “add” to the Bible (Book of Mormon) and I know there are other things about their Theology that do not stay in line with Bible teaching but are out of The Book of Mormon. I know that you cannot challenge a Mormon (or any other sect)by attacking their current position – or can you??
    Thank you, Janice Stellino
