Be like Jesus with your family. Whatever others get, well it's simply going to be the overflow of what you are living in front of your family. Jesus started at home. So should you. Covering First Base - #6421 http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-mission/covering-first-base-6421 2011-08-22T09:27:08-05:00 Just like Albert Pujols is His "ambassador at first base," we all get to be His ambassador at Wal-Mart, at our kids' school, on Facebook, in our service club, at the gym, the club, the workplace. The Christmas Window - #2593 http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-mission/the-christmas-window-2593 2009-10-01T10:14:15-05:00 Maybe you need to invite them to an event that will be the kind that is seeker-friendly prepared for lost people. They're ready to hear Christmas music I bet, everybody wants to hear that. Maybe then you invite them for fellowship afterwards over to your house and talk about what was said and sung about Jesus Christ. Jesus said it was harvest time, and harvest means ready. A Donkey With a Cross - #5700 http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-mission/a-donkey-with-a-cross-5700 2009-09-09T11:07:49-05:00 Your mission is to take as many people as you can by the hand and lead them up Skull Hill to the foot of Jesus' cross where you show them how much Jesus loves them. Anyone who knows you for very long should be guided by you to the cross. I just pray that you won't be ashamed of the cross of Jesus. Aren't you thankful He wasn't ashamed of you when He died for you on the cross? Ambassador - a Christian perspective http://biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians%206:19-20&version=NIV 2009-08-06T23:49:00-05:00 The imprisoned apostle Paul identifies himself as an "ambassador in chains"--a prisoner, but still a messenger and evangelist of Jesus Christ. Except we experience it every time we think about sharing our faith with someone. As I mentioned in the previous blog, I believe fear is the primary roadblock that keeps many of us from reaching our potential as Christ's ambassadors, His representatives and spokesmen of the Gospel in the circles we influence. Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Giving Out Goodies - #4157 http://hutchcraft.com/A-Word-With-You/Your-Most-Important-Relationship/Giving-Out-Goodies-4157 2008-08-18T13:58:23-05:00 Those parade folks indiscriminately tossing out goodies to everyone around is actually a wonderful picture of how you and I are supposed to be living as Jesus' personal ambassadors to our personal world. Of course, it's not candy we're supposed to be giving out. It's something sweet, but it's something much more healthy. Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Punching Holes in the Darkness - #4193 http://hutchcraft.com/A-Word-With-You/Your-Mission/Punching-Holes-in-the-Darkness-4193 2008-08-13T15:31:18-05:00 What an awesome description of the reason God has placed you where you are! You're not there to shake your head and bemoan how dark it is where you work or go to school or whatever your environment. You're there to punch holes in the darkness! So, how are you doing so far? Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Collapse of a Two-Legged Bridge - #4060 http://hutchcraft.com/A-Word-With-You/Your-Mission/The-Collapse-of-a-Two-Legged-Bridge-4060 2008-08-01T15:59:00-05:00 Our word for today from the Word of God is about life saving. It's from 2 Corinthians 5:19-20. It's about people who need life and what it takes to get that life to them. The Bible says, "God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation (bringing them together). We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God." God says here, you are the carriers of His love and His life to the people around you.
