In many closed and semi-closed countries of the world, official mission work is not possible. Cross-cultural workers obtain access by other means, obtaining jobs or college courses. This is called Creative Access and such countries are termed ‘Creative Access Nations’ (CANs). It is a legimimate, ethical, and necessary way to reach people.

A 30-second film shows six people playing basketball, three in white shirts and three in black. Volunteers are asked to count the number of times the white shirt team pass the ball. At the end of the film, they are asked if they saw anything unusual. Most do not. The unusual thing is: halfway through the film, a man wearing a gorilla suit walks through the players, beats his chest to the camera, then walks off. The film illustrates a simple fact – that if we are only looking for one way to do something, we do not usually see other possible options. This may be too tedious for the non-geekoids among us, but those who have done any work with computers will appreciate the work put into this simulated programming sequence of the creation. Pretty cool…
