Who needs the barber, or the beautician, or the bartender to confess to? We've got a Savior, and He knows you, and He feels with you, and He's walked your trail. He alone is the safe place to unload the deepest secrets of your soul. Inherit the kingdom - a Christian perspectivehttp://biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians%206:9&version=NIV2011-10-24T09:30:18-05:00
Paul says that those who are sexually immoral or idolaters will not inherit the kingdom of God. It's important to remember that it's only by grace and mercy that any of us are worthy to enter the kingdom. Why Mission Impossible Isn't - #6343http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-mission/why-mission-impossible-isn-t-63432011-05-04T11:55:50-05:00
God makes you extremely rich in grace so you can make others extremely rich through the good works you have to do. God plenty's us so we can plenty those around us. You have in Christ more than enough grace for every assignment God has given you. And that's why Mission Impossible isn't impossible. True Woman: Fresh Awe . . . Our Incomparable Christ!http://truewoman.com/?id=16132011-03-03T11:50:22-05:00
When was the last time you felt . . . awe? I have to say, it is a feeling I feel entirely too infrequently. Except for lately.
True Woman: Passionate Pursuit of My Offenderhttp://truewoman.com/?id=16302011-03-03T11:34:10-05:00
Like the character Demi Moore played in “The Scarlet Letter,” it felt like there was a huge sign on my forehead that identified my sin. It seemed like all of heaven was in suspense . . . waiting to see if this would be the conviction that finally stuck, that actually bore fruit.
True Woman: Gauge Your Humility and Gratitudehttp://truewoman.com/?id=16332011-03-03T11:27:09-05:00
"I think we are all basically entitlement freaks. Here's a good test question to find out if you've made progress in humility and gratitude: Ask yourself, 'Am I surprised that my spouse loves me? Do I think I am such a good 'catch' that of course my spouse should love me?'"
True Woman: Blanketed by Gracehttp://truewoman.com/?id=16342011-03-03T11:25:57-05:00
A snow-blanketed junk yard or trash heap looks as beautiful as rolling hills or a pine forest because all you can see is the snow. The same is true for the trash heap that is our lives. The mess we’ve made of things becomes quiet and peaceful when it is covered over by a blanket of God’s grace. What was visible the day before is now forgotten as our once scarlet sins are made white as snow.
The Ghosts of the Past - #6231http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-most-important-relationship/the-ghosts-of-the-past-62312010-11-30T15:27:29-05:00
God wants to erase every sin of your past from His book forever. To become your personal Savior from the guilt and the penalty of your sin. To cancel the hell that you deserve for a heaven you could never deserve. All that becomes yours the day you open your heart to Jesus and tell Him that you're turning from your sin and you're going to put all your trust in Him. He's the rescuer. Poison in Your Soul - #6225http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-relationships/poison-in-your-soul-62252010-11-30T09:41:39-05:00
You've been the forgivee - now you become the forgiver. Or you store poison in your soul; poison that will cripple or destroy so much that could have been. It's time for the antidote. It's time to be free. It's time to forgive. The Pebbles In Your Shoes - #6227http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-hindrances/the-pebbles-in-your-shoes-62272010-11-30T09:35:04-05:00
I am so glad that Jesus is a sparrow-counting, hair-counting, daily bread kind of Savior, aren't you? But I need to go to Him with the small frustrations! We could live much more victoriously if we would immediately go to Jesus for the grace He's promised us in the mini-messes - not just the big ones.
