See, He knows the next step, He knows the results, and it is the One and it is Jesus who brings all things together. What did it say here, "In Him all things hold together." You give that out-of-control part of your life to the Master, and give Him total control. The Day After the "Votequake" - #6738 http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-most-important-relationship/the-day-after-the-votequake-6738 2012-11-08T13:18:33-05:00 In this election season when we'll be hearing a lot of people being defined by their label, I want to see what God sees, don't you? Saved and Lost. I want to love those people like He does, because it breaks His heart. It should break my heart to see them lost. A Heroic Ambassador - #6734 http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-mission/a-heroic-ambassador-6734 2012-11-01T17:20:54-05:00 For a Jesus-ambassador, that message is clear. 1 Corinthians 2:2 - "Nothing except Jesus Christ and Him crucified." Uncluttered by politics, my church, or my religion, personal hobby-horses, culture issues, or lifestyle attacks. Just Jesus and His cross. A message so eternally important that it needs to be delivered, not in my churchy "Christianese" language, but in the non-religious language of the people that I'm there to reach. The Right Choice This Election http://hutchcraft.com/blogs/ron-hutchcrafts-blogs/the-right-choice-this-election 2012-10-10T14:47:23-05:00 My bottom line - there's no issue worth losing an eternal soul for. So I'm going to stick to Jesus. Because when God looks at this world, He doesn't see Republicans or Democrats, liberals or conservatives. He sees only two groups of people. Saved. And lost. Braving the Cold, Building a Fire - #6652 http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-mission/braving-the-cold-building-a-fire-6652 2012-07-10T16:16:11-05:00 Let's actually ask God to break our heart with the things that break His. Take some risks to reach your neighbor, to give, to reach out to other people, to see your time, your money, your influence, your building, and your talent as a resource to take Christ's warmth into a cold, cold world. We've got to get out there and build a fire. Hurricane Heroes - #6599 http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-mission/hurricane-heroes-6599 2012-04-26T10:51:13-05:00 How much longer can we, as His Church, just keep waiting for the dying people to come to us? They're not. We have to take the life-saving Gospel of Jesus outside the walls of the life-saving station; to the street, to the office, to the plant, to the campus, the neighborhood, our service club, that nursing home, take it to the jail, take it to the gym. How can we be content any longer to sit inside our stained glass cocoon while just outside so many are dying in the storm? So Much Hurt - #6571 http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-hard-times/so-much-hurt-6571 2012-03-20T09:49:35-05:00 When our son was three years old, we visited the U.S. Capitol in Washington. I remember him looking up that massive flight of steps and thinking, "Man, there's no way." Well, he made it to the top, because his Daddy carried him where he couldn't go. See, when you can't walk, your Father will carry you. I really can do "all things through Christ who gives me strength" (Philippians 4:13), because Jesus really is enough. Breaking Rules, Saving Lives - #6525 http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-mission/breaking-rules-saving-lives-6525 2012-01-13T16:52:12-05:00 Rescuing? It always means risking, including the misunderstanding, the criticism of people who love the "rules" but aren't reaching the lost. Jesus knows about that. Remember? Yeah, He made the "rules people" very uncomfortable. So they crucified Him, and we were saved. The Answer in the Mirror - #6522 http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-hard-times/the-answer-in-the-mirror-6522 2012-01-10T15:36:30-05:00 Every counselor's first job is to get a person to take the responsibility for their own situation. Whether you're a parent, or a son, or a daughter, or a worker, or a boss, I trust that you will begin to say, "Lord, begin with me." Who Stole the Cross? - #6479 http://hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-mission/who-stole-the-cross-6479 2011-11-10T10:53:52-05:00 We should be outraged! We've allowed Jesus' cross to be stolen from the center of our hearts, and our ministries, and our conversations. "The message of the cross," 1 Corinthians 1:18 says, "is...the power of God." I need to be as passionate about elevating that cross as the world and the devil are about eliminating it.
