If you don't yet have a smartphone, you may not realise their compelling advantages. These include having with you 24/7: a still/video camera, diary (which can syncronize automatically to other family members, work colleagues, church etc.), satnav, photo album, note-taker, alarm-clock/watch, Kindle e-reader (there's a free Kindle app – and there are plenty of free classics to choose from), news updates, games as well as all the usual web services – browsing, email, Facebook, Twitter. Free (or very cheap) apps extend this functionality in many ways.

Can anyone explain why mobile phone manufacturers neglect to protect the phone camera lens in any meaningful way?
There are now two blindingly good contenders for best Android camera phone from HTC and Samsung, with camera quality and functionality we could have only dreamed of three years ago. But what is there to stop the lens getting dusty, smeared with finger prints, or scratched? Nothing that I can see. In which case all the high quality megapixels, autofocus, multishot capability etc. are potentially wasted. There really aren't any exceptions to this. Your site needs to completely usable on a smartphone or tablet.
If your site runs on WordPress (a great way to go for any sort of site, not just a blog), there plugins such as WordPress Mobile Pack or WP Touch which will set this up for you in seconds.

The significance of free mobile phone Bibles cannot be overestimated for these reasons:
- Christians can have access to a 24/7 Bible.
- In the Majority World, mobile phones may be comparable in price to printed Bibles, maybe even cheaper.
- In closed countries, Bibles can be hard to obtain, and it may not be wise to be seen to own one.
- Inquirers can privately download Bibles in a growing range of languages.
