Are you scared to die? Does thinking about your death make you nervous about eternity? You don't have to be afraid of that monster in the dark anymore. ... The Word of God in I Corinthians 15:54 says, "Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where oh death is your victory? Where Oh death is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law, but thanks be to God, He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." There's the last monster—the one that lurks in the dark no matter how old we are—death. Life's partings are tough, especially when someone we love slips into eternity. Death tears us up inside, and the grief seems almost unbearable. If you and your loved one belong to Jesus, then this is not the termination of your relationship. Only because of Jesus Christ, can this interruption be bearable. Salvation is in no one else. We have to be saved by His name. How can this be? Mankind seems to know instinctively that we need some kind of bridge to get to God. We feel the distance between us and the one who made us, and maybe you do. We're trying to discover what will get us to Him. So, we have the Protestant bridge to God with good works that are supposed to take us to God, and the Catholic bridge with good Catholic things to do, and the Jewish bridge, and the Muslim bridge, and the Buddhist bridge, and the Hindu bridge, and the bridge of New Age spirituality, etc. LWP-New Religions, Subjective Life Spiritualities, Challenge to Missions in Post-Christianhttp://lausanneworldpulse.com/themedarticles.php/9702008-07-09T15:25:29-05:00

“I was the administrator of my own rescue”. But the message from Jesus is that we cannot rescue ourselves: “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins,” (John 8.24). We cannot magically erase our sins...
