When the Container Lies to You - #5918
Don't fall for those lies on sin's package. Check its real contents, as exposed graphically in the Bible. If you've already opened sin's package, get out while you can. If you're looking at a compromise that God calls sin, run the other way. You haven't got time for the pain, for the scars, for the slavery, for the shame. Do it God's way, even if it's harder, even if it takes longer. Remember, it's the narrow road that leads to life. It's the wide road that leads to destruction

Tick Bites - #5873
Scripture warns us, "See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many." Bitterness and resentment always begin just as this little root. But bitterness never stays a little root. It keeps growing into a poisonous plant that ends up hurting us and hurting others. A root of bitterness has destroyed marriages, churches, friendships, and ministries because it wasn't pulled up when it was small.

Shields Up! - #5782
God promises not only to look out for you as you're going into the battle, but also to be your "rear guard" after the battle. So when God has worked mightily, when God has used you significantly, don't get spiritually careless. That's the time you give yourself that all-important order, "Shields up!"

Boomeranging Satan - #5771
God says if you "resist the devil," he will "flee from you." First, you have to recognize who these feelings and who this pressure is coming from. Then, you have to make a conscious choice that says, "I know who this is. I'm not falling for this! I am taking my stand against the devil's schemes!"

Black Ice - #5708
Your enemy looks for a time when your resistance is down, your guard is down to bring you down. It can be right after a spiritual high when you're riding on your emotions or while you're taking time off or watching or listening to something for entertainment, when you're with friends you let your guard down with, when you're tired, when you're away from home, when you're discouraged, when you're enjoying success.

Temptation in the Bible: 1 Corinthians 10:13
Where do we turn when we're faced with temptations that we just can't seem to resist? To one of the most comforting verses in the entire Bible, where we learn that God will never subject us to temptations that we aren't able, with His help, to overcome.
