Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - "24"- Jack Bauer's Biggest Battle - #8148
A major national magazine carried an interview with the man who plays Jack Bauer. The title: “Heart of Darkness: Drinking to forget with TV’s hottest action hero.” That’s sad to read. Kiefer Sutherland said: “I should be able to wake up in the morning without going, ‘Oh, no! Where’s my boot?’ Or ‘Where am I?’ Or ‘One of your friends didn’t happen to bring my car home, did they?’ I don’t want to live like that.” He said, “I have a few drinks and I’m not so worried about tomorrow and not thinking about yesterday. Then the next day, I go, ‘Oh God, don’t let me do that again.’ So why do I do it again? And again? And again?’” A man with so much going for him and a losing battle with a darkness that keeps dragging him down.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Sugar Sick - #8107
The sugar addiction actually goes farther than an appetite for sweet foods. It actually infects the spiritual lives of a lot of us because well, we’re addicted to spiritual sugar. Too many of us are event Christians; ...

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Flash Gordon Rescues - #5647
Remember, Jesus is your Savior, and Savior means Rescuer. He's already accomplished the toughest rescue of all. He rescued you from the clutches of sin and hell. Surely, after that, He can save you from this comparatively small crisis. He will change the situation or He will enlarge you to deal with it, but He will always rescue you! He always has.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Battle over "The Precious" - #4448
The ring in Lord of the Rings is fantasy. The battle over "The Precious" is not. Because we all have something or someone in our life that is, for us, "The Precious." We can't let go of it. And like the ring in Tolkien's stories, the longer and more tightly we hold onto it, the more it slowly destroys us.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The No-Regrets Alarm - #4535
Now the day you put your trust in Jesus as Savior, God planted in your soul a sin alarm. Somebody planted a gluttony alarm in our refrigerator. There's this noise that makes you stop and think before you reach for something. It's annoying, but that pig can keep you from doing something you will regret later - like tomorrow on the scale! Now we need some noise inside of us when we are about to reach for something that we are going to later regret. And God delivers us from evil if we will listen to the inner alarms He triggers when we are about to sin.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Open Window - #4313
That's one reason God gives us some very practical advice to avoid getting stuff you don't really want in your life. It's brief, it's to the point, and it's our word for today from the Word of God. Ephesians 4:27 says, "Do not give the devil a foothold." Or we might say, don't leave any window open that the devil could use to get in.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Smell You Should Never Get Used To - #4335
Our word for today from the Word of God comes from Ezekiel 9:2, and it describes a kind of person God was looking for back then -- and the kind of person He is looking for right now, where you are. God is showing His prophet Ezekiel how repulsive the sin of God's ancient people is to Him and how He intends to bring judgment and clean house.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Nothing to Hide - #4360
Our word for today from the Word of God comes from Romans 13 beginning at verse 12, and it encourages us to live with those three words as our life motto. Nothing to hide.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Royal Switch - #4382
Our word for today from the Word of God comes from 2 Corinthians 10:4-5. It says, "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds." We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Always There To Catch You - #4385
That man going over the edge, arms flailing, out of control - that could be a picture of David's condition in our word for today from the Word of God. It's in Psalm 94 beginning at verse 17. In fact, it could be a picture of your condition right now.
