French animation by Michel Ocelot is a storytelling masterclass
For Christmas, I received a little gem – the DVD Tales of the Night by celebrated French animator Michel Ocelot. It's based on the very simple device of story within story: a young man, woman and older technician meet in an abandoned cinema and collaborate together to create and act in (or perhaps animate – this is left open) a series of delightful short stories. See why storytelling communicates so well, and recognize the creative process for storytellers down the millenia.
New contextualized evangelistic cartoon for India
Videos and animations are a key to sharing the good news in the Majority World. Yet the range of materials in other languages, and especially in a culturally-appropriate format, is shockingly limited. The YWAM School of Animation and Cartooning for Missions has just released an evangelistic animation called Coconuts.

Share your faith on Facebook - cartoon explains how easy it is
Social media has changed everything in digital communication. For non-profits and Christian ministries, Eric Qualman chillingly observes in his new video, "The ROI of Social Media is: your business still exists in five years." It is really as stark as this – if your non-profit or ministry does not have an integrated social media strategy (rather than just trying to bolt-on a bit of Facebook or Twitter), you are in danger. Your church will also suffer, though not terminally, if it does not use social media, says Josh Burns. But equally significant – and greatly under-utilized – is this new potential for any Jesus-follower to share faith appropriately across relationships, using social media. YesEIs have produced a new short cartoon video explaining just how simple this it is to use their own curated choices of evangelistic video shorts.

Why animation tells story like no other medium
Because animation is not photo-realism, it takes us into a magic parallel world of our imagination where anything is possible.
Review: Studio Ghibli film Arrietty is beautiful at every level
Arrietty, the latest animation from Studio Ghibli: released in Japan in 2010, it came to Europe in early 2011 and UK/Australia in July. Sadly for N America, you'll have to wait till February 2012, for reasons I know not. Because it is a sheer delight. Pure treasure. The artwork and soundtrack are beautiful, detailed and subtle.
Computer humor makes serious points about missing emails
Most humor makes a serious point. Having sent a couple of potentially important emails that were either quarantined for no apparent reason, or completely lost, the cartoon below has some truth.
Cartoons, comics, animation and video clips for Christian evangelism
Cartoons, comics and animations are a key means of evangelism, as 'The blind missionaries' cartoon itself portrays clearly. Why are they so important?
