"Cup" in the Bible: Matthew 26:39
In the hours before his trial, Jesus prays to God to life his "cup"--that is, the suffering that have been laid out for him. Jesus does not hesitate to ask God to spare him from suffering, but he is willing to accept God's will regardless.

Your will - a Christian perspective
