Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - What You Can't See Really Can Hurt You - #5039
Satan blinds us with religion, so we think that a religion about Jesus will get us to heaven. It won't, it can't. Sometimes the devil blinds us with other Christians who have represented Jesus poorly. But Jesus is the issue, not Christians.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Soaking the Soaked - #5045
God can't be very happy with us when we just keep focusing on going to our Christian meetings, our committee meetings and our conferences, and our concerts. We listen to our Christian speakers and songs; we stay busy with our Christian schedule. Meanwhile, the spiritually destitute people are starving to death all around us just like those people back in the story of the four lepers. This is the day of Good News. We cannot hold our peace.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Plastic Wars - #5046
Some of us are pretty aloof from other believers because we're more spiritual than they are; at least by our definition of spirituality. Some of us are getting all worn out on plastic wars; fighting fiercely over issues that make us miss the dying people all around us. The doctrine is very important. Righteous behavior is very important. But we just dare not lose sight of the greatest battle of all, which is the battle for eternal souls - for people's lives.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Young World - #5137
Right now, there are probably Christian young people in your church who really need some adults to believe in them, to pray for them, to pray with them, to challenge them, and to get involved with them. So many of our Christian young people are living way beneath their potential; they're over entertained and under challenged! They need some people who will challenge and equip them to make a difference for their community, for their lost friends, and for a hurting world.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Decisive Difference - #5141
For some of us church folks, this business of being a Christian is a religion, or a performance, or maybe a belief, or a script where we've got all the right words. You can have all that and miss what it really is; a personal relationship with Jesus, based on His dying for your sins - a relationship you begin the day you put your total trust in Jesus, consciously giving all of you to Him. With all your Christianity, it's possible you may have missed Christ, even though everyone around you thinks you know Him.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - How to Travel Far - #5214
We could go so much farther in rescuing the dying people around us - in being taken seriously by a lost world - if we could just travel together!

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Great Lighthouse Shortage - #4016
It seems to me that Jesus intended for every church to be a lighthouse, whether or not they have a lighted tower as part of their building. And He intended for every Christian to be a lighthouse, every ministry. Tragically, with so many lives around us headed for disaster, there is a terrible lighthouse shortage.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Your Legs Won't Get You There - #4049
My son's only hope of getting to the top was his father carrying him. His best efforts to make it wouldn't make it. Which is exactly the picture the Bible gives us of our best efforts to make it to heaven, to please an all-perfect God. Our best efforts will never get us there.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Spiritual Shopping - #4079
Now in my search for what would satisfy my appetite, I was shopping in the right store, but not in the right aisle. It's easy to make that same mistake when you're shopping spiritually - for something that will satisfy your appetite for meaning in life.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Church With a Pulse - #5268
That's the standard to measure your church by. Is there a powerful appetite for the Lord? Are you expecting God to do the supernatural? Are you looking for and taking care of people's needs? Are you totally committed to each other? Are you talking up Jesus? If it's not that way, be a thermostat that helps set that temperature, not just a thermometer that reflects the chilly reading. Jesus loves His church. Jesus is counting on His church. Let's do all we can to help the church be the church!
