Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - Slaves No More - #9188 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
I can only imagine the unspeakably deep feelings of my African-American brothers and sisters with the historic inauguration of America’s first black President. The milestone stands at the pinnacle of a story that begins with slave ships, shackles, segregation and shame. What could have been more degrading than to be owned by another human being and listed as property? It’s no wonder many of those slaves risked their lives trying to be free. History tells us that some who made it out were buried with just four telling words on their tombstones: “Born slave, died free.”

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - Heores On The Fire Line - #9178 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
A reporter watching it said, “I don’t think they’re going to make it.” Well thankfully, choppers came in the nick of time with water and doused the flames. Later, the fire captain asked a whole big group of firefighters for volunteers to go back and fight that fire again. All 12 of those guys put their hands up. Here’s what the newscaster said about their heroism, “Once again they laid their lives on the narrow line between life and death.”

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - A Clean Slate For a New Year - #8175 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
I’ve been involved with a lot of families, hurting couples, hurting parents, hurting kids, hurting relationships over the years. So many marriages could have been saved, so many kids could have been saved, so many relationships, so many churches if someone could have just said those words, “I was wrong.”

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, Inc. - A Wonderful Time to Be Born - #8171 | Radio Program | A Life That Matters
Now that’s Savior as in “rescuer”—someone who comes to rescue you from a deadly situation that you can’t get yourself out of.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Spending Less This Christmas - #8168
...what happened that Christmas in Bethlehem; what happened on that dark Good Friday years later, that was the most expensive gift ever given. For one reason, God loves you and he can’t stand to lose you. The Bible says, “He did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us…” (Romans 8:32).

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Path to Heaven - #8160
This missionary was lost in a dense jungle, and he came upon a village in the middle of all these trees, and he asked a resident to lead him out. The villager said, “Okay.” Well, they walked for about an hour, and the villager walked ahead of him chopping his way through the foliage with a machete. Eventually, the missionary said, “Are you sure we’re going the right way? Isn’t there a path somewhere?” The villager smiled and he just said, “Friend, I am the path.”

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - No One to Welcome
It's a pretty sad feeling when you prepare a big welcome and the one you did it for never comes. You've gone through so much to make it perfect just for them. ... Jesus knows that feeling. He's prepared a welcome home, an expensive welcome, for some people who have never come.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - In Search of the Anchor
People everywhere are searching for something to fill a void in their lives. They are searching for something to count on that will provide an anchor in an increasingly uncertain and unpredictable world. ... An author named Faith Popcorn writes, "The search for life's anchor is a must for filling the void that so many are feeling. We're looking for ourselves, our lost souls. A relationship with the Divine may be the ultimate expression of anchoring."

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Bridges to Nowhere
In our age of pluralism, tolerance, and eclectic spirituality, those are pretty loaded words about Jesus. We must be saved by His Name. We have the Protestant bridge to God—with good works that are supposed to take us to God—, the Catholic bridge—with good Catholic things to do—, the Jewish bridge, the Muslim bridge, the Buddhist bridge, the Hindu Bridge, and the bridge of New Age Spirituality. Our human nature wants to believe that all those bridges end up the same place with God.
