Storming Home - #6896
The Bible says in Hebrews 6:19, speaking of Jesus, "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul firm and secure." And it often is not until things are out of our control that we understand we were never meant to run our lives. We were created by Jesus, for Jesus. He died to bring us back to Him, and maybe He is right now using your storm to blow you right into His loving arms.
"Me Too" Won't Make It - #6879
Maybe it's time for you to step out of the false security of a nice Christian environment. You need a Christian in-vironment. You need Christ in you, not around you. You don't need to rebel against your parent's commitment just to prove your individuality, you've got to find your own commitment to Christ...personal, powerful, and stronger than your parent's.
The Dumbest Order In History - #6839
Jesus is this very day, healing families that nothing else can heal, crushing Satan, lifting up the oppressed, protecting the vulnerable, reshaping nations, steering history, He's shattering addictions, He's defying disease, and He's making sinners like me into living proof that He is alive.
Someone Else Shuts the Door - #6832
Today the door is open! God paid with the blood of His Son for you to go to heaven, but you've got to come while He's calling. You can meet Jesus at His cross today. He's been waiting for you there.
Lance, Lies, and A Look In The Mirror - #6820
We may think lying is no big deal. It is to God, and we're going to answer to Him some day. On the Bible list of "six things the Lord hates," lying is the only one that appears twice in Proverbs 6:16-19. And in our word today from the Word of God in Psalm 101:7, He bluntly declares that "no one who practices deceit will dwell in My house." God is a God of truth. Lying sets God against me. Dishonesty is a very big deal.
Royal Babies - #6807
We never really understand our worth until we have a personal relationship with the One who gave us our worth in the first place. Jesus came and died because that relationship was broken by our sin; by our self-willed running of our own life; our way instead of God's way.
New Year...New Management - #6800
The realization that I was never meant to drive my life; that's the first step to beginning a love relationship with God; the very relationship you were made for. And when you admit that and you realize that the mess of our life, the guilt of our life, the shame of our life, the hurt that we've inflicted is because we've taken our life and done it our way instead of His way. You are ready at that point to say, "I need a Savior. I need a Rescuer from this sin."
The Power of Broken - #6797
Maybe God's allowed you to be broken so you could finally be healed; to finally see that you really do need Him, to be forgiven by Him, to have a personal relationship with Him, to actually take personally for yourself what Jesus did on the cross to tear down the wall between you and God.
A Familiar Voice - #6796
God's will then is a day becoming a week, becoming a month, and then eventually a month becomes a "God's will" year. And through each daily obedience He is making you into the right person, who will be at the right place, at the right time, with the right people.
The Mistakes We Make For Love - #6795
After every "I want" should come four little words that mark the road to God's best. "It's up to Jesus." It's often our broken dreams and our messed up plans that turn our heart in God's direction. And that's where we finally find the love and the purpose that we were made for; that we've looked for our whole life.
