Better to give than receive - a Christian perspective

It's fun to receive a gift, but it's more deeply satisfying to give a gift to somebody who truly needs it. Jesus taught that this attitude of giving should shape all of our life.

IN reading this small verse, it is very true to give better than to receive a good feeling, but how many of us really give what we love, or do you give what you don’t want? There is a fine line an I thinking between a true giver and a self minded giver only giving bar minimal. Have you ever gone out of your way and really sacrificed something for someone else? that is the wealth of it, it brings you rewards, when I had been with the Lord for a short what he had said was get your life right ,get your family’s life right , get out of debt, for how can you help anyone if you’re in debt, let go of that huge debt sell , buy small and work your way up , The one thing that had touched me while I was with the Lord for a short is , I have not done enough for others , this being help when you can and that the secret when you can, then and do it as often as you can , this is what you will store up in heaven, you cannot take wealth with you what you take with you is what you had done here to help ,

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
