To not punish a person for something wrong he or she has done; to pardon someone. The great message of the Bible is that God forgives us. Jesus took the punishment for the things we have done wrong. (Psalm 32:1-5; Psalm 130; Matthew 18:15-35; Colossians 3:12-14; 1 John 1:9)
