Broke bread - a Christian perspective

Shortly before his betrayal, Jesus celebrated a final supper with his disciples. He held up broken bread as a symbol of the sacrifice he was about to make. To this day, countless Christian churches celebrate communion in imitation of this last supper.

“THIS IS MY BODY” represents “THE DEATH ON THE CROSS”….”THIS IS MY BLOOD”….represents the ONLY BLOOD AS PER THE LAW THAT COULD PAY THE PRICE OF SIN…THE UNBLEMISHED LAMB…NO SIN…BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD WHO TAKES AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD….SYMBOLIC IS BREAD AND WINE …REPRESENTAION IS THE CORNERSTONE OF THE BODY THAT DIED FOR ANOTHERS SIN…THE SAME BLOOD THAT BODY SHED WAS THAT CUP THAT PETER ASKED TO DRINK OF…YET PETER REMEMBERED NOT…NOT WHAT JESUS TOLD HIM …NOT WHAT PROPHECY PROMISED….DO THIS IN REMEMBERENCE OF ME….IS A COMMANDMENT….GET YOUR NOSE IN THAT BOOK CHRISTIAN….EAT IT UP…SYMBOLS ARE COOL CRISTIAN….WHAT GOOD ARE THEY IF WE HAVEN’T ENOUGH INSIDE TO EVEN REMEMBER…THE BREAD OF LIFE IS TO BE EATEN…NOT TASTED…AS WE DRINK THAT SYMBOL…WE STUDY SCRIPTURE…NOT JUST READ SCRIPTURE…

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
