  1. Vince Smith says:

the bearing of a cross is the life that you expect to have after you become a christian. You will think that it is hard, and you are not wrong. In Luke 14:25 – 26 it is recorded. ‘Large crowds were travelling with Jesus, and turning to them he said ‘If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father anmd mother, his wife and chidre, his brothers and sists – yes even his own life – he cannot be my disciple And anyone who doe not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. Begin a Christian is like being married ‘to the exclusion of all others#’. That is why Jesus said ‘his (your personal) cross’.

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
