When the Old Testament mentions musical instruments with singing praises to GOD, you understand it’s okay to use these musical backgrounds…In the NEW TESTAMENT, only singing is mentioned…Reference to this comes from Moses and the rod he used on the rock, and not following the Lord’s “direct” words. I LOVE musical background with my singing, but do not wish to be wrong… Plz respond

  2. Brother Sye says:

We can’t act on what is not mentioned. If God, Jesus or the Holy Sprirt through Prophets don’t say stop then we should keep on singing, dancing and playing instruments to praise and worship God.

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
