What would the sound of defeat sound like? As Moses is coming down Mt. Sinai with the ten commandments in Exodus 32 he hears the sound of singing coming from the camp. He tells Aaron, that it doesn't sound like the sound of victory or of defeat. Moses replied: "It is not the sound of victory, it is not the sound of defeat; it is the sound of singing that I hear."
