End time in the Bible - a Christian perspective
John writes in Revelation that he heard an angel declare that when the end times are coming there will be no delay. It will happen and swiftly.

I think that “delay” that the NIV uses is a misleading term. I believe that the angel is refering to an end to “time.” There is more than one application of that idea. But what I believe the angel meant is that time to repent is over, at the time that he specifies in the context of the scripture.
Faith exists unseen. When Jesus returns on the “scene” there is no more faith. Salvation is by faith, not by sight. No more opportunity to repent.
The Interlinear says “time shall no longer be.” But in the Rev.1:1 John did refer to things taking place in speed. That got translated as “soon.” But it doesn’t mean “soon.” There it means “in speed.” Different.
