Filthy rags in the Bible: Isaiah 64:6
When we do something good, we're proud of what we've done, but this passage says that even our best, most noble works are like "dirty rags" when it comes to earning us a place in heaven--they're useless and good for nothing. They're certainly not enough to bring us into a right relationship with God--for that, we need Christ.

I think this passeage is saying, that even in our best beheaver if we compair ourselfs to the righteousnesses of god our, righteousness is filthy rags campaired to the righteosness of god. Righteousness is a gift from god. Our works will never compare to the righteous of god. If we we’re as righteouess as god we would be able to see his glory. I think we would’nt be able to stand in the presence of such a glory’s being,we would have to bow down in the Lord’s presence. God took man’s righteousness to the cross because man righteousnes is filthy rags!!!
The Apostle Paul worked as if it depended all upon him but believed and preached as if it depended all upon God. His Grace provides Provision, Direction and Power for His Purpose in our lives. Without it we fail!
