Five thousand - a Christian perspective


After Jesus heard about the beheading of John the Baptist he went out on a boat by himself. When people heard where he was they gathered around the shore, about five thousand total. They stayed there while Jesus healed their sick. That night Jesus fed all five thousand of them with five loaves of bread and two fish.
