Why God Sends the Storm - #6101
Could it be that the storm that's hit you lately - the storm that even threatens to break up your ship - is God's tool to drive you into His arms? Not because He's mad at you, but because He loves you.

in conjuction with this statement God sends the storm to mature us and to build character. It helps us to realize that we do need him and not just when their is a storm but, when its peacfull and quiet. We know that God does his very best in a time of crisis. but, its when nothing is goin on when we can truly reflect in who he is and see him in all of his glory. The story of Jesus on the ship with his disciples he was asleep(peacefull)and quiet. Wow!!!
God sends the storm to mature us and build our character. whats interesting about storms is that before it begins it gets cloudy and you can feel that the atmosphere is changing. God wisdom is so powerful he prepares us to face the storm and has made provisions for us to change with the comfort of knowing he is with us. Just as Jesus was on the ship when the storm was raging and he was asleep. the disciples forgot who was on board. until they woke him up and we have to remember in our storms that he is on board and its in those times when he shows up change will take place and he does it because he does love all of us.and wants us to rely on him and not ourselves.
You are so correct deanna! I have been through a lot since October 09 and it just seemed like everytime I turned around there was more and more and everyone would say God doesn’t give you more than you can handle. I can relate a lot to Job, I know there is a reason I am in the middle of this storm but God is so faithful and loving and everytime I just don’t think I can go on God blesses me and gives me the strength to continue to make it through this storm. It is at all times that we should lean on God and praise Him for everyting but especially in times of the storm. My walk with God has never been stronger and I know that I could not make it through all I have been through with out the love, strength, wisdom and guidance that I seek daily in Him. It is also during these times that He wants us to be still and let Him be God! We must step out of the way and be amazed at his blessings!!!
For 3yr i have been waiting on God to help me out of this mess i know he loves me even in the storm. but i feel like Job i touch it it goes bad. So i pray and ask God to help me understand what is going on .I need to hear is voice loud and clear.i have been saved for many yrs and i know God loves me so if it takes 3 more yrs i will still suffer but wait on the Lord.Because he said he would never leave me and never means never.
