God's love in the Bible: Psalm 23

The most famous Psalm in all of the Bible: "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want...." It's a perfect picture of God's love for His children, providing for their needs, keeping them safe from predators, and guiding them away from danger.

  1. Digoutyoursoul says:

Why is it that being with God is always a struggle? A struggle as in to run away from sin, to seek out God’s plan and word, and to only focus on Him? If God really loved us and we wanted to be with Him and told Him so…why do we have to prove to Him that we want to be with Him?

  2. laurenlovesJesus says:

God never said being a christian would be easy. It’s a “struggle” because sin is a worldly thing that we are all surrounded by and its not easy to stay away from. To really be a christian that makes a difference you have to strive to be unlike the world and live Jesus through your life which is a difficulty. We seek out God’s plan because even though we may not understand hard times and things that bring us down now God’s plan for us is perfect and he will find a way to show it to us in our lives. We have the choice to accept it or not. You prove your loyalty because God will always be loyal to you. God loves us and doesn’t need our reassurance of how mighty and powerful and loving He is. But he wants us. He loves us and we need to show our love and loyalty to him.

  3. The believer says:

I have found God in my heart and truth be told we may go through struggles in life and we will get knocked down but if you believe and love God these struggles will pass.”What are we but the clothes on our backs and the food in our stomaches?” “do not worry about the next day because today has enough trouble of its own…… :)
