I need to learn to dig into the Word of God and to be able to teach others how to do this also.
God has enabled me to understand the scriptures. He has opened my eyes to see beyond the written sentences in the Bible. The scriptures are spiritual. The Bible was written divinely so divinely will anyone understand them. I really enjoy Bible studies. As Christians, the Bible is our manual for living. We can’t be lazy about it. Especially ministers of God – Bible studies is not something we can toy with. The Holy Spirit will be more than delighted to unveil hidden mysteries to you as you consciously have your Bible studies. The general thing to know about the Word of God is that it is living not written. Bible studies is beyond merely reading sentences.Jesus told the disciples in John 6:63
“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are lifeâ€.
So the words in the Bible are not just sentences to be read into our minds. This is the reason they renew the mind, because they are life and Spirit. Raw sentences can never make impact on anyone unless they are backed by something significant. By giving attention to the Word of God, you’re actually fulfilling so many scriptures. Proverbs 4:20-22,
“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart, for they are life unto those that find them and health to all their fleshâ€.
You see, this tell you that God’s Word is more than sentences. It’s so precious the writer says, it is life and health unto those that find it. So anytime you open your Bible, you’ve actually opened life and health. This is the reason anytime I see the Bible anywhere, I start smiling because I know that it is more than just a catalog of stories. It is more than just a compilation of historic events. As a Christian, it’s not possible to survive outside God’s Word. It’s like telling yourself you’ll survive without oxygen. The foundation of this world was laid by the Word of God. Everything we can see with our optical eyes is there because the Word brought it into being. John 1:1-3 makes it crystal clear:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was madeâ€.
We’re all products of the Word, how do we live outside our source and still do well. The Bible is your manual for living. If you follow it, it will chart the course of your life and lead you into your inheritance as a child of God. If you give attention to God’s Word, you’re actually announcing to God that you want to do things His way. In essence, you’re telling God that you want to follow His Word to get His way of result.
