Jesus In The Snow
As I was growing up, my folks had this picture hanging in our living room. It’s called “Jesus in the snow.†There was a piece of paper taped on the back side of the picture that told the story of how the picture came about.

The more I find out about your web site, the more greatful I become for you. I now know about your Bible reference so I can find scripture that I have forgotten the address. I have a DVD that is to do the same but I have never been able to find anything on it. With yours It took me about 2 sec. WOW!!!! I had to come back from Africa, by jet medical rescew. I contacted Malaria and when I cam home after treatment I got it again from a bad blood transfusion. God allowed me to see a place I never want to see again. I think it might be what Jesus experenced because that is what I wanted to do. Cry out “My God My God why have you forsaken me” Then I begain to ask for Mercy to be an overcomer of this state of being. So I began to thank Him and praise Him for all I could think of. It took me 4 day or more to break the hold of what ever it was.
Braise God that He never leaves us or forsakes us. I would not have lived.

I’d just like to correct the story about this photo which has circulated for years. It was NOT taken by a Chinese man. It was taken by my grandfather, David Methven, in Big Bear, CA around 1924. I have an original print made from the original negative. There is much more detail in the original, including a full figure with a halo if you look upside down where the hand is.
The Chinese story started in Scotland. this makes some sense since quite a few members of my grandparents’ families lived there. Where the incorrect version came from, I have no idea.

you can see the other pictures and decide for yourself if they are different pictures of the same image or copies, somehow distorted? The story that happened to my mother is very similar to David Methven’s, from the comment above. For me, it is the coincidence in my mother’s story where her friend told her to take the picture to see if Jesus was there, and then she gets this photo and the negative as well. No doubt coincidences do happen. I have seen the negative from the photo my mother took. Is it a copy or did it happen again?

And I believe the Chinese photographer also is witness to another photograph miracle.
For I am also.
My grandfather adevout Anglican gave me a photograph at age 18. I am 54 now. It was taken in Vancouver in 1927.
And it is like yours and the others.
My granfather told me there are others.
Not just copies.
But isolated cases of this same image appearing onto film.
I find the only difference is that some have more of his robe and the expression is somewhat personal.
There are now 6 I know of.
A man in NewZealand took his photo in 1955 and the same image of Jesus appeared.
It was said also that to believe and yet not see is a good faith.
