Joy is an inexpressible and glorious feeling like no other. It is a state of happiness that we rarely achieve but constantly crave. In 1 Peter, the author describes why the early Christians are feeling so joyful. He tells them that the effusive happiness they are feeling is because they are finally receiving salvation.
