My husband was a youth pastor. One year ago he confessed to multiple affairs and left our marriage of 13 years and family of five young children. He is not working, not providing and has been involved with multiple women in the last year. He still goes to church (a different church) and several months ago he got a “christian tattoo” about how he is new creation in Christ.
His choices are painful and do not reflect the character of the Lord.
My husband (we are in the process of divorce) is now involved with a married woman.
His actions display a fleshly appetite for the world and NOT the holiness of God.
My children watch their father’s actions and listen to his justifications and they are so confused. They asked tonight what God’s word says about tattoo’s which led me to biblegateway.com and this site.
As follower’s of Christ we must live such pure and holy lives in a dark and unbelieving world. We can only do that through a steady daily diet of the word and the fellowship of other believers otherwise we deceive ourselves.
All followers of Christ Jesus, we were all once in darkness and did unholy things but then we were called into the light we have turned from our old ways.
How terrible for the one who leaves the light and returns to darkness and then calls the darkness light.
