This is usually heard – at least in the Anglican Church – just before a preacher delivers a sermon. Sometimes it gets changed to ‘the words of my mouth and the meditation of all our hearts…’ but it shouldn’t be. It shouldn’t be. The passage is an invocation against hypocrisy. Our thoughts and our words and ultimately our actions should all be one AND acceptable in God’s sight. I cannot preach love, while I hold a grudge against person and gossip about another after church – well, I could but I could not
