Pride in the BIble: Deuteronomy 8:17-20
Pride doesn't necessarily mean thinking that you're the greatest person who's ever lived. Pride creeps into our hearts when we look at our lives and accomplishments and imagine that we alone have made them happen, without God's help. God is generous with gifts and blessings, but we mustn't make the mistake of forgetting where they ultimately came from.

This is indeed true with humanity not only those in the secular hemisphere but also most of us purporting to be children of the Ancient of Days. Most times when we are in need going before the throne of grace we humbly bow or is it just hypocricy? The sooner our prayers are answered we then steal the glory from God and try to be bossy and give credit to the self. A friend of mine told me a story of a guy who passed his Board Nursinf Exams in America. In giving his testimony he started boasting how he cannot understand why many people are not able to pass their exams. The preacher waited for him to have emptied his stomach with his boasting pill then exclaimed “My son praise the Lord for he is good. He has answered your prayers so that you become a living testimony. Stop sending wrong signals and encourage other to seek his face. “where there not ten leppers but where are the nine comes to mind. Those who have this trait should pray that God deliver them because it is a well known cancer that has destroyed many of our saints. How many times do you hear preachers teaching on this topic?
This blesses my heart and answers a questine I put before God.Why not me Lord? where is all the prosperity I am promised. Now I can see I have not praised him for the little, acknowledging him for all my provision. With out knowing it, I have been mad at God because of my lack, now I will praise him for my provisions no mattere how small or large. I realize I am just an empty vessel and it is God taht will fill me. From with in me is where I need to praise him for everything. Thank you for blessing me with this article, I am repenting of my pride.I and grateful for this answer.
I am so grateful for this article. I have been keeping my eyes on every thing or person for my provision and patting myself and others on the back when provisions comes to my lack, even though I love the Lord. It is the Lord that provides for all of my needs great and small. My eyes are opened, and I have a repentive heart. I truely did not realize I was so prideful. Now I have a way of repenting, because the truth is setting me free. The Lord is my provider, I give him the glory, and not myselfself or others.
