You know because of what the Bible says about how to get to God and how to get to heaven, I couldn’t help but see myself in those rescue pictures. Now, throughout the Bible God tells us something we don’t want to hear. He says that we’re sinners, we’re hijackers of our life from Him, and because of that we’re trapped under sin’s death penalty with no way to swim out, no way to save ourselves no matter how religious we are; no hope except for the Rescuer from above.
