Repentance begins by realizing that what you're doing is sin, and it's ugly. It's breaking the heart of the One who died so you don't have to act like that. It's like realizing your car is headed the wrong direction to get where you want to go. You have to do three things: admit you're going the wrong way, stop going the wrong way, and turn around and start heading the right direction.
