Now quakes are inescapable. They’re part of life. I don’t mean just the kind that register on the Richter Scale. There are major shakeups that hit us medically and maritally and occupationally and financially and relationally and spiritually. The question isn’t whether or not we’re going to have life-quakes; it’s whether what we’re building our life on can withstand the quake, because a life that matters just doesn’t collapse when everything’s shaking.
