Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - The Setting Without The Stones - #3974

In today's world where a woman's desire to be "beautiful" drives so much of the marketing that is directed to women, it is easy for a woman to believe some very big lies about herself. The models in the magazines, the stars on the screen are supposed to define beauty. They don't. At least not according to the Creator. And He should know. Much of what we think is beauty is really a setting without the stones.

Why are even Christian women so driven by beauty? God gave some women all the great model features. Women are driven by botox and by hair color, hair styles, weight, and clothing, etc, all the time. God loves all of us, but some are not so beautiful and I remember feeling so ugly many times myself. Many people are treated poorly as a result. He creates all of us, just some with all the beauty and some with not so much.

I remember even Christian men saying they would wait in a long line to get help with a pretty woman than go through a shorter line with an “ugly” woman. What is up with that?

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
