Do You Take a Regular Sabbath? - The Gospel.com Blog

On the seventh day of the Creation story, God took a sabbath and rested from His work. Later, keeping a sabbath was included in the ten commandments. Rest is clearly an important activity, but I’d argue that in the Western world we don’t do a great job of emphasizing how important it really is. What about you though? Do you take a regular sabbath?

Yes, I belive in and take Sabbath rest, (Saturday); the main problem I am observing is that it seems that you have to belong to a denomination that practices this valid biblical truth. Where I live it is the Seventh-Day-Adventists. The secular churches take their Sabbath day on (Sunday), for which there is no BIBLICAL validity or reference for this practice. Sabbath was established by GOD as an example for mankind to follow; it so imporatant that SABBATH is mentioned several times in the book of EXODUS, (Chapters 31, verses 13-17). Our most high GOD, YAHWEH states that it is the SIGN by which he would know his people. In the last days, (REVELATION) this will be the SIGN by which our CHRIST, (MESSIAH) will know his people.

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
