"Weak" in the Bible: 2 Corinthians 12:9

God's power is most obvious not in the military might of a king or the pomposity of a church leader, but in the humility and weakness of average people. It is in the lives of the broken and downtrodden that His grace is most clearly visible.

  1. I love the Lord says:

Amen!!! I grew up a broken foster child and have still had a lot of hardships as a young adult but it is the Lord Who has and continues to bring me out and teaches me what I need to know things that nobody or nothing else taught me , or now, would be able to teach me. He teaches me to love myself and a whole lot of other things that are very complex. Only thru the Holy Spirit, His Holy Word, and seeking Him am I , or anyone else for that matter, truely made whole. He completes me baby and His strength is TRUELY made perfect in our weaknesses. If we didn’t have any weaknesses would we feel such a STRONG need for Him???????

  2. smeagle says:

I have had a lifetime of hardships too, and I would have never made it through them or became the person I am today without God and his love for me. Its an amazing feeling to know that no-matter what, God will take care of me.

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
