Wheel in the Bible - a Christian perspective
In the first chapter of Ezekiel he describes a vision of a wheeled structure in the sky. He writes that it looked like a wheel within a wheel, and the wheels were full of eyes all around.

I’m not too sure about what this means but I vaguely remember reading years ago that this may represent some aspect of God’s omnipresence in terms of his travel and ability to move ever so swiftly(faster than the speed of lightening for example). I do’t want to sound as if its a false doctrine but i’m trying to place the description in a context. Is this avehicle (metaphor) through which The Almighty moves?Is this a description of God per se? Please I’d like to know.
I’m interested in knowing whether this is a description of the Almighty God. Does He use this medium as travel from one place to another in terms of speed (faster than lightening for example)? Is this a demonstration of His omnipresence? And the all seeing eyes round about, does this explain His omniscience? Is this a representation of his Divine being so that we can comprehend his awesomeness in its entirety? I know we can’t but is this a revelation of Himself so our feeble senses can comprehend it.Is beyl, amber in other terms?
In my perspective jenny, I have a theory, believe it or not…. I believe it could be a description of a UFO. Thats how they describe it. However, in my recent private christian school, they were talking about a gyroscope. If you dont know what one is its a wheel moving inside a wheel. Its very interesting. I heard a TV preacher (I don’t recall which one) say that the wheel in a wheel with eyes could have been a depiction of an atom; that God was showing Ezekiel the most basic structure of the universe. That seems feasible. I looked at diagrams of atom molecule: circles in circles with protons and neutrons rotating around a central nucleus.
