The works of the flesh--that is, of our sinful nature--are obvious by their wickedness. This passage lists out behavior that characteristic of a godless life. They have no place in the life of a Christian.

  1. Barry Phillips says:

Is it fair to make “the works of the flesh” synonymous with “sinful nature”?

I do believe in man’s propensity to sin. We know our sin by the law. Mankind experiences the works of the flesh in contrast to the works of the spirit.

However, I cannot find the terms sinful nature together nor two words that could be translated in that manner.

    Can you help me understand?
