"Yoked" in the Bible: 2 Corinthians 6:14
This passage warns believers not to become too entangled with non-believers. Christians have long discussed and debated the meaning of this passage, and the extent to which we are to apply it to our everyday lives.

Does this passage have to do with Christian – non-Christian 0r purely non-believers as Athiests?
“unbelievers” refers to anyone who does not believe in Jesus Christ as son and saviour, so yes- it refers to different religions, athiests, different cults that only accept part of the Bible, etc. Anyone who is not a Believer and follower of Jesus.
God bless
Well if your partner is Muslim and you are a Christian, if you both have strong faith in God and his word does this still apply? He does not deny Christ, and in the Koren it plainly speaks that God put part of his spirit into Jesus prior to birth, therefore is a part of God. I feel closer to this man and to God through him, and with him than I have any other. We can openly sit and discuss the word of God and Jesus along with the Koran and the word of Mohammed, I feel more yoked with him than I have ever felt with a man of Christian faith. He can tell me more about the Bible and quote scripture and tell me where to reference it far more than I can guide him. I can not understand why this would not be a union equally yoked and blessed by God.
The life of a Christian is defined by a relationship with Jesus Christ, rather than just a belief in God or knowledge of the Bible. Consider James 2:19: “You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.†Also think about Matthew 4:1-11 where Satan tempts Jesus, and does it by quoting scripture (verse 6)! I am not saying that your Muslim partner is not a nice guy, I am just using extreme examples.
Bear with me here: The Bible describes God as all-powerful and perfectly Holy, He cannot tolerate sin. We all have sinned, but God knew we would, and because He loves us he provided a way for us to be made clean so we can be reunited with Him (John 3:16). Jesus was God in Spirit but became man in flesh, and took the penalty for our sins on himself. We cannot become perfect ourselves, we can do nothing to earn enough favor in God’s eyes to erase our sin. But Jesus’ blood washes us clean if we accept His love and sacrifice, and are “born again” (made new spiritually through the Spirit of God which is given to us through Jesus) (Romans 3:21-28,I John 1:7, John 3:3-8).
The point is that belief in God is not sufficient, we need Jesus. And not just a great man or a prophet, but the son of God, whose sacrifice alone could atone for all our sins, and who could defeat death itself and all the powers it represents, who could return to continuously reunite us and connect us imperfect people to our perfect God (Eph. 2:13-18, Heb. 9:15). Without this Jesus who is fully God in spirit but lived a fully human life we would have nothing and be nothing. If we have Jesus we have everything and can be everything. And this is the point of this scripture we are discussing: If we have given our lives to Jesus, and he has given us this new life filled with himself, how can we then give ourselves to someone who does not share this relationship with us? You do not want to have to choose between following Jesus and following your spouse.
I know this is difficult. But when God asks us to give up something that we value dearly it is because He has something immeasurably greater that he wants us to enjoy. He doesn’t want you to give up a relationship with a non-Christian because he has a better Christian for you. He wants you for Himself, He loves you very much, and does not want to share you with anyone. If you are going to be in a committed relationship with someone, particularly marriage, it needs to be someone who can help you and encourage you in your relationship with Jesus. We, the church, are the bride of Christ, set apart and made holy for Him and Him alone (Eph. 5:22-32). God bless you!
Both my closest friend and I are married .She is married to a Muslim and i am married to a someone who i believed shared my faith . Both our relationships have caused so much heartache and the longing of our hearts is to see both these men find the Lord Jesus in his fulness . For my husband would love to see him baptized in the Holy Spirit.
Please don’t be deceived into thinking that a man is nice be so convinced that his heart is set to follow honour and obey God through Christ .

“He does not deny Christ…”
In every meaningful way, Islam denies Christ. In fact there is a word for what Christians believe about Christ, it is called “Shirk”, or the attributing of “partners” to Allah. This was an attack specifically aimed at Christians by Mohammad, and is considered by Muslims as an unforgivable crime.

In Love
Jacqueline… please understand that I write this comment in love. Muslims and Christians do not worship the same God. The god named Allah is not the loving father figure descibed in the Bible. As a matter of fact, Muslims do not believe in Allah as a father period. They believe Allah is unconcerned with humanity in general. Jehovah the one true God of the Bible loves each of us beyond our understanding, and sent His only Son to die for our sins and be raised in His glory from death. Jesus is simply viewed as a prophet in Islam along with several thousand others. Islam teaches that Jesus will return to slaughter Christians and Jews and institute Islam as the world religion upon the revelation of the 12th Imam. Jesus did not come to destroy but to save that which was lost. Mohammed was just a man, and he is in a grave today. Muslims need to recognize Jesus for who he was and is today, because when He returns every knee shall baow and every tongue confess that He is Lord. Muslims will not be exempt, not will Christians. The primary difference being, Christians already acknowledge Christ’s Lordship where Muslims pledge their allegience to Allah and his prophet Mohammed only.
It is imperative that Christians not yoke themselves with non-Christians because doing so immediately creates a conflict based on ideaology. Whether in business, relationships, marriage, or any partnership, when the parties of the relationship do not share the same beliefs, tension will eventually come. In marriage in particular, and in your case specifically, the day will come when either you or your Muslim partner will have to compromise your beliefs in order to maintain the relationship. Christians are taught to love God then one another as Christ loved. Muslims are taught to convert or kill the infidels. Some Muslims are more radical than others, but those who truly follow the teachings of the Quran and hadiths live by jihad and will not compromise any tenets of their religion for any circumstances. My prayer for you is to not compromise Jesus for the love of a man. There are plenty of men who love Jesus and who would love you because of your love for Him. May the Holy Spirit enlighten you as you seek the truth.
God didn’t make a barrier for love between two people…if God is not a religion, then love is not a religion…if my girlfriend accepts Jesus Christ as her loving savior and God,does this mean she’s saved?…even though she’s a member of INC religion?…
