The fool in the Bible: Matthew 5:21-22

Just as Jesus taught that lust and adultery were both equally sinful in God's eyes, here he shows that anyone who burns with anger against someone else has sinned! God isn't just concerned with our outward behavior, but with the thoughts and attitudes of our heart.

My dad listens to a certain TV Preacher that plainly says, their will be no forgiveness on this earth for a rapist or a murderer. His scripture to back this up is in Du. 22:26. Now I am not confused about this issue, because I find in Matthew 12:31 the Bible says, “And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.” I don’t know how else to respond to this. I feel this Preacher has caused my dad to have a condemning spirit. I know a couple of people that are men of God now that have committed murder, I know we are not to judge them. I believe they have been forgiven by God because of what Jesus did on the cross, He has paid the price for our sins.

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
