"Be holy" in the Bible: 1 Peter 1:15-16
Why should Christians try to live a holy life? Because God is holy, and in our love for Him, we should seek to emulate him with our own lives. We are often called to be imitators of Christ, and holiness is one of his most defining traits.

Thank you! O Lord help us to allow you to reign in our hearts and lives. Help us to move and respond as you instruct. Help us to see the callings that you alone can place on our lives and move accordingly. Help us to lift up one another in prayer as you would have us to. Help your people become your people, worthy of your callings. And as Cynthia previously spoke of the meaning of her name, let us be your people through whom you can reflect your light. O Lord, help us (me*) to have your words of life in my mouth and speech; help me to mute my speech if I cannot do so to honor You Lord and help me to turn a deaf ear more and more to things that are not of you. O Lord, make us wholly and holy Yours. Prepare us O Lord for Your awesome day. Let our hearts be tuned to Yours! You alone art worthy of our every Praise!
