What does it mean to misuse God’s name?
How do you understand the command to not take God's name in vain? Is it talking about profanity and swearing? Can you misuse God’s name without saying anything at all?

What does it mean to misuse God’s name?
I understand that today’s modern society always causes, swears, and especialy uses profanity in every sentence they use, however I’m not saying I’m don’t, becuase I do sometimes say it, but not meaning it! In my own words to me not taking God’s name in vain is basically going back to Jobs speaking to his wife when she said; “Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!” and Job responded; “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?” (Job 2:9-10)
I know for a fact when events in our life come as near as what Job and his family experience! You will cause, swear, and maybe use profanity, however this doesn’t mean you are using the name of God in vain! Telling a neighbor or a child that God is responsible of all the good things and not the troubles we have experience is in fact using the name in vain, because we have to understand that trouble come in a form of God testing our faith! Indeed there are brothers, and sisters using the name of God to bring attention especialized on their behalf, however misleading the preaching! In the holy scriptures I can’t specify the book or chapter, but it says you shall preach the word and not yours or something like that! Understanding that using God’s name to brin his people closer to him is acceptable, but using his name to attract attention and in the process confuse their child like minds is abomination! This is my opinion in thoughts, however I hope it helps the reader, and God bless each every day of your eternal life! Thanks for your time! Glory be that to the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit! Amen!
