Closed Doors at Christmas - #6772
Jesus said, "I have longed to gather you together, but you were not willing." And that tragedy continues today as Jesus tries to get into a life that He came for that first Christmas; that He died for on Good Friday - maybe yours. He paid such a high price for you. He loves you so much He doesn't want to lose you. He died to pay for the sin that would cause you to be shut out of Heaven.

The Wedding Day "Wow!" - #6703
At a wedding I saw a picture of how Jesus feels about me and all those who are His - unmistakable, unconcealable, unrestrained love. And I saw, symbolized in that young bride, the response to that love - committing yourself to this One who has proven - in blood - that you can trust Him with your life.

You Don't Know When You Were Born? - #6687
If you're not sure you belong to Jesus, why not have a day when you make sure? Why not let this be the day? The Bible says, "Today is your day of salvation." Reach out and say, "Jesus, beginning today, consciously I give myself to You. I am Yours."

Taking the Sting Out of Goodbye - #6376
The scripture says, "I have written these things to those of you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know you have eternal life." Now, there's no greater peace, no greater security than knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that you're going to heaven when you die. And you can know that today!

The Point of No Return - #6286
If today you could make this the day when you give yourself consciously to the man who gave His life for you, you will never pass the point of no return.

The Line Between Night and Day - #6292
How do people feel after they've been around you? Do they feel lighter or darker? Have you built them up, or have you been critical - torn them down; made them feel anything but important? Maybe you've been living too close to that line. Your temper keeps crossing into the night; your humor, your thoughts, your physical involvement with someone else. Or maybe it's an attitude or an action that's just too dark for a day person like you. You don't belong there.

The Home Folks' Hazard - #6256
One of the greatest tragedies of all eternity would be if you'd been around Jesus your whole life and missed Him...and missed heaven.

The Highest Bid You've Ever Had - #6193
the price for you was very high. Jesus was beaten until His back was ripped apart. He carried a cross on that bloody back, a crown of thorns was jammed on his head, spikes were driven into His hands and feet, and worst of all, His Father turned His back on Him because He was carrying your sin so God would never have to turn His back on you.

Homeless in Your Heart - #6172
Those sins that Jesus carried to the cross with Him are the thousands of times you and I have thought, or said or done things our way instead of God's way. In the process, we have repeatedly violated the laws of Almighty God. And sin is punishable by death. It can only be forgiven by that death penalty being paid. But Jesus stepped in and absorbed all that punishment, all the hell of my sin and your sin. That's what it took to save you - His blood - His life.

Book review: Got style? Personality-based evangelism by Jeffrey Johnson
We usually find it frustrating and discouraging to try and fulfill a role for which we do not have the gifts – it’s like being a square peg in a round hole. It is yet more condemning to feel completely inadequate in comparison with those who do seem to have these gifts.
