Burdens in the Bible: Galatians 6:2
Being a follower of Christ doesn't just mean having your own spiritual burden lifted from your shoulders by Christ. It means actively seeking out those who need help, and shouldering their burdens with them. Service to others is a critical part of the Christian faith.

Yoke is easy - a Christian perspective
The "burden" of following Jesus is, ironically, much easier to bear than the supposed freedom of live in sin.

The Better Beyond The Bitter - #2813
This night, even this long night, will not last forever. And on the other side a time of joy that is hard for you to imagine right now but which God guarantees. In fact, the beautiful time may actually be produced by the bitter time, as the joy of a new baby is produced by a painful delivery process. But you do have to get through this bitter taste, without abandoning your Lord or His plans.

Keeping the Weight Off - #2720
Jesus gloriously liberated you from the sinful weight of that ugly old way of living, that old way of thinking, of meeting your needs, of treating people. But it was painful getting that weight off, wasn't it? You can't afford to let it start coming back. Say no now to the first signs of that burden returning!

Heavy Lifting Without Injuries - #5885
Sometimes the heavier the burden, the more we neglect or forget to unload it on the shoulders of our all-powerful Lord. We're so busy trying to fix it, to carry it, to solve it, that we neglect taking it to God. Sometimes when we're hurting or discouraged, we just don't feel like praying. Great! That's exactly when we need to pray the most.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Someone to Share the Load - #4253
All around us, there are people who are carrying a heavy load they should not have to carry alone. But most of us are so preoccupied with our own burdens that we have little or no time to lighten someone else's. And yet, we who follow Jesus, are following a Savior of whom the Bible says, "When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them..." (Matthew 9:36)

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Heavy Lifting without Injuries - #4165
As some people have learned the hard way, when you don't bend your knees for heavy lifting situations, you get unnecessary pain and strain, and even injury. It's the same with all of life's heavy loads.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - A Place For Your Garbage - #4198
You don't want to just keep piling up your garbage. You don't want it scattered all over the place. It's really nice to have a place for your garbage. And we do. For our emotional garbage, that is, and our spiritual garbage. There really is a place to bring your trash - and leave it there - because of a tremendous invitation extended by Jesus Christ.
