Amazed in the Bible - a Christian perspective
In this passage, a centurion sends some of the Jewish elders to ask Jesus and to come and heal his servant. When they were on their way the centurion sends a few of his friends out to tell Jesus not to bother, that Jesus could heal his servant by merely saying the words anywhere. Jesus was amazed at his faith and the servant became well.

Capernaum - a Christian perspective
In Mark we read about Jesus traveling to Capernaum. On the Sabbath day while there he preached at the synagogue and all who heard him were amazed at his authority of the scriptures.

“[The Word Became Flesh] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
- John 1:1-2, 14
